About the Series
I have had to read pages upon pages of theological material; so much that it feels like I forget a fair amount of what I read. While I do maintain a general synopsis of a book, I want to better internalize and remember what I am chewing and digesting as I read. This series seeks to remedy this by providing brief reviews of the books I read.
Studying biblical counseling has been greatly rewarding for my own sanctification. The Lord has provided not only bounteous information for me to meditate upon while showing me the sufficiency of the Bible for the problems of mankind, but He has also taught me situations which I did not think of or consider before taking the classes. This same kind of thing has happened when momentous life changes come, such as my marriage to the lovely @sarah or the birth of our first son. Jim Newheiser and Elyse Fitzpatrick, You Never Stop Being a Parent: Thriving in Relationship with Your Adult Children (Phillipsburg, N.J.: P & R Pub., 2010), was such a great lesson that I learned much about a topic I had never considered.
This book contains valuable wisdom for new parents as well as for the experienced, for those wondering how they might gain wisdom in an area that is not likely to be the first issue considered when thinking through what needs to be tackled in counseling. A great resource.
